Rafael Francis has more than 12 years experience in the telecom industry and is currently the AVP of technology and marketing for the Americas. In this role he is responsible for the marketing of all ECI products and solutions in the region. Previously, he was the product line group manager of the carrier ethernet switching and routing line of business at ECI. Francis has extensive experience guiding product development based on various networking technologies, particularly Ethernet, IP & MPLS. His expertise in next-generation networking and its business applications has been demonstrated through numerous conference speaking engagements and trade articles. He has a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University.
